Anna's New Blue Dress
Anna recently made this fabulous dress for a wedding in Barcelona (she'll share all soon) and it's bloody gorgeous!
The dress was made from a vintage style pattern Anna found and a fabulous vintage fabric that had been printed originally intended for scarves. Anna even covered the buttons to match, I love all the details on this dress.
To have a similar dress made like this enquire with Anna, I'm sure she'd love to make another one!

Green Stripes
This fabric is just gorgeous. A heavy vintage screen printed stripe cotton, crisp and structured used to make our great 50s inspired sun 'stroke' party dress. The long line bodice with fitted hips and changing stripes works really well to cinch the waist and smooth the hips and a little added satin piping adds some subtle detail. This may be my favourite of the stripe dresses we have made so far.

Golden Blue Cocktail Dress
I found this vintage piece of Japanese fabric a few years ago and have used it for tiny bits of trimming, Christmas wrapping, bags etc and have finally used it to it's full potential in a glittering 50's silhouetted cocktail dress complete with nets. Luckily I saved just enough.
The seams have all been bound in satin, as the fabric looks so sparkling inside I didn't want to hide it under a lining. Trimmed with a metallic grosgrain ribbon bow to finish.

Gorgeous Grey Roses
A quick post to show you this darling of a dress.
The fabric is an original 1950's crisp cotton purchased from atomickatz (an excellent etsy shop packed with gorgeous vintage finds) and we teamed it with a crepe bodice and added our all important bow!

Nineteen Eighties Boys Bedrooms
I recently came across this vintage fabric un-used in a charity shop and the nostalgia flooded back of the matching duvet covers, curtains, wallpaper, pajama sets of the 1980's. Boys bedrooms across the county decked out in the 'manly' tones of red black and grey stripes.
It was one of those lovely crisp cottons fresh from the packet and had to be used for a dress with a full circle to display of the stripes to the max! It takes on quite a different tone in a cocktail dress and bow.

12th May Blue Dress
Not moaning about the election anymore. We must be positive and wish them all well, the best that can happen is that they will be wonderful together, for everyone. In true spirit I have made a blue dress with a little yellow and flowers.
Here is today's dress, made from a gorgeous vintage piece of cotton stored away and as usual inspired by the 1950's. I'm very pleased today, it worked out beautifully and I even had just enough time to add a net underskirt and darling pink floral buttons.
