A Postcard From Rome
Arrived in my inbox this morning a gorgeous postcard from the lovely Alice wearing one of our 'one of a kind' dresses, whilst on her travels in Rome. What a delight. She's gaining many compliments too, we wish her lots more fabulous adventures on her travels around Europe in her dress! x

Dove Grey Stripes, We love Stripes
The last of this little collection of stripe dresses for now. This dress is a super crisp, heavy dove grey cotton with screen printed fine stripes.
We cut this dress with a classic 50's halter dress in mind with a structured bodice, curvy sweetheart and long fine halter straps. The skirt was cut into quarter circle pannels making the skirt wonderfully full and swapped around the stripes for a geometric pattern (something we stole from a 1940's sun dress).
Fully lined with lots of nets and the compulsory ribbon bow to finish. Available to buy here in our etsy shop.

Gorgeous Green Dress
Just finished today.
When this order came in a couple of weeks ago I was delighted with the request for an emerald green dress.
Ever since Keira Knightley's incredible emerald, bias cut gown in Atonement I have been lusting after that beautiful shade of green.
The green was a challenge to find, and I went through quite a few different silks to find the exact colour which just radiated the green every time the sun hit it. The dress has one of our classic 50's silhouettes with the draped asymmetric neckline, the cinched waist and the full skirt which gathered to the waist in tiny neat folds just like tissue paper.
The most wonderful thing about this order is that it came from a bride to be, planning her bridesmaids dresses whilst on deployment in Iraq. Us girls sure can multi task in extreme circumstances!
